Salford Red Devils head coach Paul Rowley has accused forward Sam Stone of 'downing tools' after he made himself unavailable for selection in the match against St Helens.
The game ended in a heavy defeat for Salford, who are currently at the bottom of the Super League, with St Helens winning decisively thanks in part to Kyle Feldt, who scored four tries and kicked three goals.
Salford only had 17 players available for the match.
Stone, an Australian player, has been linked with a transfer to Warrington Wolves.
Rowley noted, "He has been talking to another club since pre-season and now he is fit, I guess that move can start to take shape." Rowley expressed that Stone's decision not to participate complicated the team's preparations and performance for the game.
