Joe Stimson, a forward born in Temora, has reportedly signed a contract with the Castleford Tigers in the English Super League, lasting until the end of 2025.
According to zerotackle.com, the Tigers have one quota spot remaining and recently added former Canterbury forward Tom Amone to their roster.
Stimson began his professional career with the Melbourne Storm, making his NRL debut in 2017 and playing three seasons with the club, during which he appeared in 51 games.
In 2020, he transferred to the Canterbury Bulldogs, where he showcased versatility as a player capable of performing both in the middle and on the edge.
However, he lost his regular spot in the Bulldogs lineup after 34 games, prompting his move to the Gold Coast Titans in 2023.
In 2024, Stimson found himself playing more games in reserve grade than in first grade and subsequently settled for a reserve grade contract with the Brisbane Tigers.
There, he has become an essential member of the Queensland Cup team's forward pack.
