Australia's Parramatta Eels forward Shaun Lane has experienced the rollercoaster of emotions that elite sport can bring.
From the highs of prestigious honours and a grand final appearance in 2022, to the physical and mental torment he faced in 2023, Lane has truly seen it all in the world of rugby league.
Now, feeling a sense of emptiness but with a burning desire to grow, he embarked on an incredible journey of self-discovery.
This trip of a lifetime took him across the globe, allowing him to refuel his mind, body, and soul.
Fresh off a series of brutal injuries, including a dislocated elbow, torn hamstring, and broken jaw, Lane knew he needed this time to heal both physically and mentally.
And luckily for us, the Parramatta Eels were there to document his European escapade.
