Steering Clear: No Talk on Dearden's Maroon Play

Reece Robson is pleased foe Tom Dearden to have won the Queensland No.7 jersey in Origin II but views his Cowboys team-mates the same as any other opponent.

Reece Robson, the NSW Blues hooker, is refraining from discussing the Queensland players in preparation for the upcoming Origin match, including his Cowboys teammate Tom Dearden, who has been named the Maroons' No.7.

Reports from nrl.com.au indicate that Robson is also avoiding conversations about Queensland co-captain Reuben Cotter and star second-rower Jeremiah Nanai, both part of the Maroons team for Origin II at Optus Stadium.

Robson's reluctance to engage in talk about the Maroons is rooted in his upbringing.

He grew up on the NSW side of the border, and while many friends supported Queensland during their dominance with eight consecutive series wins, Robson's disdain for the Maroons only intensified over the years.
