Nicho Hynes is on track to make a triumphant return for Magic Round, with Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon hinting at his potential comeback from calf tightness.

However, Fitzgibbon made it clear that Hynes' fitness is the top priority, regardless of any looming State of Origin considerations.

Fitzgibbon described Hynes as a "good chance" to feature in the upcoming clash against the Roosters, highlighting the playmaker's progress in training sessions.

The Sharks will carefully monitor Hynes' condition to ensure he is fully prepared to take the field on Saturday night.

Although Hynes' presence would provide a significant boost for the Sharks, supporters of the New South Wales Blues are also eager to see him back in action.

Hynes had a bittersweet experience in last year's State of Origin series, fulfilling a lifelong ambition by making his debut but facing challenges and ultimately being left out of subsequent games.

As Hynes aims to showcase his skills on the field once again, all eyes will be on his potential return for Magic Round and the implications for his State of Origin prospects.

The stage is set for a gripping comeback tale, with Hynes poised to seize the opportunity and make a lasting impact in the world of Rugby League.
