St Helens secured their fifth consecutive Women's Challenge Cup final appearance at Wembley with a narrow 10-6 victory over York Valkyrie at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Sunday.
Having held the Women's Challenge Cup trophy for the past four years, St Helens will face Wigan Warriors on June 7.
The match was tightly contested, with Faye Gaskin's penalty being the only score separating the teams at halftime.
York's Ellie Williamson made an impressive tackle that prevented Amy Hardcastle from scoring, putting the Saints on the defensive in the first half.
As the second half progressed, Valkyrie pushed hard to equalize, but Rhiannon Marshall's penalty attempt hit the upright, allowing St Helens to maintain their lead.
The game's turning point came when Shona Hoyle scored the first try, and Faye Gaskin successfully converted, extending the Saints' advantage as they aimed for a record fifth consecutive title in the competition.
