Souths CEO Blake Solly has put the kibosh on rumors linking the Rabbitohs' tough training regime under Wayne Bennett to the recent spate of injuries suffered by stars Latrell Mitchell and Cameron Murray.

NRL legend Willy Mason has even suggested that Murray's Achilles setback could give him a much-needed break to recharge his batteries.

Murray is facing surgery for his ruptured Achilles and is expected to miss a chunk of the upcoming season, while Mitchell will be out for six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury.

The injuries, sustained during a tough training session, have left Souths fans reeling and raised questions about the quality of their training facilities at Heffron Park.

Solly, however, has quashed these doubts, revealing that their training grounds were given the all-clear just weeks ago by experts.

Despite the move to the new $25 million center in 2023, the team has been plagued by injuries.

Alongside Murray and Mitchell, Shaq Mitchell and others have also been sidelined with various ailments.

While the injuries are a blow to the team's prospects, Solly remains optimistic that the players will bounce back stronger.

With the season just around the corner, Souths will be hoping to overcome this setback and push for glory on the field.
