NRL club Penrith Panthers has joined the race for St George Illawarra Dragons fullback Tyrell Sloan, amid recent rumors about his exit from the club.
Reports from zerotackle.com state that Sloan, once viewed as the future of the Dragons, has faced a challenging 18 months.
The 2025 NRL season has seen him pushed to the wing due to the arrival of Clinton Gutherson, which has made it difficult for him to find his rhythm.
Despite his undeniable attacking talent, Sloan's inconsistency has been a concern, and he has been targeted defensively during games.
Last week, he was demoted to the NSW Cup as he was passed over for players Corey Allan and Christian Tuipulotu.
Following this, a meeting led to him being granted permission to explore opportunities outside the Dragons.
Besides the Panthers, Sloan is also linked with the Super League team Catalans Dragons.
