After a mammoth four-year stint at the helm of the NSW Sky Blues, coach Kylie Hilder has decided to hang up her coaching boots.
It was with a heavy heart that Hilder made the tough call after her squad suffered consecutive losses to their arch-rivals from Queensland.
Taking the reins in 2021, the 48-year-old strategist led her troops to a glorious victory in the 2022 Women's State of Origin series.
Under her watchful eye, the game flourished and expanded to a three-game showdown.
It was a time of growth and development for women's Rugby League, with Hilder at the forefront of the revolution.
Although she bids adieu to her role as head coach, Hilder will continue to nurture and shape the future stars of women's Rugby League as the NSWRL Female Pathways Manager.
It may be a new chapter for the sky blue clan, but Hilder's legacy will live on through the next generation of players she helps mold.
"In true sporting fashion, I felt it was time to shake things up for the team.
Coaching the NSW Women's Origin squad has been an absolute privilege for me over these past four years.
I take great pride in the progress we've made and the mark we've left on the game," Hilder shared in a statement.
Witnessing the evolution of women's Origin from humble beginnings to a three-game series is a triumph to marvel at.
It's a testament to the sheer talent and determination of the women who grace the Rugby League arena.
And for Hilder, it's a legacy she leaves behind as she embarks on a new chapter in her illustrious coaching career.
