Maika Sivo, the veteran winger with a try-scoring strike rate that rivals some of the greats of the game, has officially ruled out facing off against his former club, the Parramatta Eels.
Instead, all signs are pointing towards a move to the Leeds Rhinos in the English Super League.
Having notched up an impressive 104 tries in just 115 games, Sivo was recently released from his contract with the Eels, paving the way for a new chapter in his career.
While he has continued to deliver in attack at the NRL level, concerns about his defensive capabilities saw him sidelined from the first-grade squad.
It became clear midway through the season that the Eels were open to letting him go.
Despite rumors linking him to the North Queensland Cowboys, Sivo set the record straight in an interview with NRL.com, admitting that his time in the NRL has come to an end and expressing a heartfelt appreciation for his time at Parramatta.
"That's my second home away from home.
I'll always remember that place from the bottom of my heart," Sivo revealed from the Fiji camp, where he is representing the Bati in the Pacific Bowl tournament.
