The Tauaneai family is buzzing with excitement as sisters Alexis and Trinity prepare to face off in their first NRLW matchup this Saturday when the Bulldogs take on the Dragons at Accor Stadium.
The clash has been highly anticipated, marked on their living room calendar, and has escalated the banter within their household.
Having previously played together in Wainuiomata, Alexis made the move to Australia in 2023 to chase her NRLW ambitions alongside their older sister Brooke, who plays for St George Dragons in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership.
Shortly after, Trinity, 18, and the rest of the family, including another sister Paige-a development contract player at the Dragons-joined her in Australia.
As the match approaches, the sibling rivalry is heating up, with Alexis teasing, "She's gunning for me." The clash symbolizes not only a personal competition but also reflects the family's journey and shared passion for rugby league.
The intensity of their friendly rivalry is expected to elevate the atmosphere during the game, showcasing their talent and dedication to the sport.
