The Kaiviti Silktails achieved a remarkable victory against the Melbourne Storm, the current top-of-the-table team in the Jersey Flegg Cup.

This win not only marked their third victory of the season but also their first away win in the NSWRL's Under 21s competition in 2025.

In addition, it was their first win on Australian soil in almost three years, with their last victory occurring in July 2022 at Mascot Oval.

Despite their lack of success in the Jersey Flegg Cup last season, the Silktails have shown significant improvement in the current season.

This victory was a significant milestone for the Fijian team, as it showcased their determination and resilience in overcoming a formidable opponent.

The Silktails drew inspiration from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, with head coach Wes Naiqama highlighting the importance of staying connected and disciplined throughout the game.

Naiqama emphasized the team's focus on executing their game plan and sticking to their structures, which ultimately led to their success on the field.

The victory against the Storm was a testament to the Silktails' hard work and dedication, as they managed to outplay the unbeaten team and secure a well-deserved win.

As they continue to build on this momentum, the Silktails are poised to make further progress in the Jersey Flegg Cup and demonstrate their potential as a competitive and resilient team.
