The news out of warriors.kiwi is that star halfback Shaun Johnson will be out of action for the next four weeks due to a nagging Achilles tendon injury.
Head coach Andrew Webster delivered the blow at a press conference today, just before the team was set to be announced for this weekend's clash with the Brisbane Broncos at Go Media Stadium.
With Johnson sidelined, Te Maire Martin will step up to take on the halfback duties against the Broncos, while Chanel Harris-Tavita will slot into the standoff position.
It's a blow for the Warriors, but they'll need to rally together and show their strengths in the face of adversity.
As they say in the world of Rugby League, it's time for the next man up to step in and show what he's made of.
Johnson's absence will be felt, but the Warriors will need to dig deep and show their fighting spirit to overcome this setback and come out on top.
