Braydon Trindall shone brightly as the Sharks dominated the Titans with a 50-10 win at Ocean Protect Stadium on Saturday evening.
Halfback Nicho Hynes and centre Jesse Ramien also each scored twice.
Cronulla established a commanding 34-0 lead by halftime, and despite two tries from Gold Coast in the second half, the outcome was already secured.
It took the Sharks just under two minutes to score when winger Sam Stonestreet redirected a Trindall kick to fullback Will Kennedy.
Trindall added to the score in the 12th minute with a perfect grubber for second-rower Briton Nikora to finish.
After fending off multiple Titans attacks, Ramien extended the lead with a try following a well-executed pass from Hynes.
Gold Coast's poor restart, kicking the ball out on the full, provided Trindall the chance he needed, as he sliced through the defense effortlessly.
Trindall completed his double in the 29th minute, collecting a pass from Ramien after forcing an error.
