Sharks stars Ronaldo Mulitalo and Briton Nikora have been selected to represent New Zealand in the upcoming Pacific Championships.

Both players previously represented their nations of origin at the 2022 World Cup and have been rewarded for their strong performances in the NRL with a call-up to the international series.

The tournament will kick off on October 14, with the Kangaroos taking on Toa Samoa at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.

Nikora, who made his international debut in 2019, has already played nine matches for New Zealand.

Mulitalo, who was the Sharks' leading try scorer in 2023, has represented the Kiwis on four occasions.

Meanwhile, Royce Hunt, who was born in Sydney and has Samoan, Hawaiian, and Maori heritage, has been selected to play for Samoa.

He has previously played five international matches for Toa Samoa.

The tournament will consist of several matches, with the final between the top two teams scheduled to take place in Hamilton, New Zealand on November 4.
