The upcoming under 19's Origin match between NSW and Queensland promises to be a compelling clash, featuring local talents Nikora Williams and Prestyn Laine-Sietu.

According to sharks.com.au, Williams, a local junior, has secured a spot in the NSW Blues squad, while Laine-Sietu, who is with the Redcliffe club, will represent Queensland.

The match is set for June 19 at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

This contest will pit the two teammates against each other as they face off in key positions, likely as opposing centres.

Both players have previously played together in the Sharks' under-19 SG Ball squad before advancing to the under-21 Jersey Flegg side, where they've attracted the attention of state selectors due to their strong performances.

Williams' background includes being a former student at Endeavour High School, and his SG Ball coach, Brad Kelly, expressed pride in Williams' selection by the NSW selectors.

This match not only highlights individual talent but also underscores the competitive spirit of youth rugby league as friendships and club loyalties are set aside for the pursuit of Origin glory.
