Nakia Davis-Welsh, former Jillaroos star and New South Wales representative, has secured a spot in the Sharks' NRLW squad for the upcoming season, as reported by sharks.com.au.

Known for her skills as a fullback, Davis-Welsh played a crucial role in Australia's 2017 World Cup victory.

Her persistence and dedication over the past two seasons have finally paid off, earning her a contract with the Sharks.

Having previously played for Cronulla in the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership back in 2023, Davis-Welsh then made her NRLW debut with the Parramatta Eels.

However, the 28-year-old never gave up on her goal of joining the Sharks' elite squad.
