In Round 16 of the Jersey Flegg Cup, the Sharks will face the Storm in a significant second-versus-third match, while the Newtown Jets will take on the Bears at North Sydney Oval after a bye.
The Sharks' under-21 team, currently boasting an 11-win, 3-loss record following their recent victory over the Kaiviti Silktails, will be looking to maintain their position in a close top four, with the Storm just one point behind.
However, they will be without key players: front-rower Felix Faatili, who sustained a head knock, and centres Nikora Williams and Prestyn Laine-Sietu, both unavailable due to their participation in the under-19 State of Origin match.
The Jets, aiming to stabilize their ranking after inconsistent performances tied to injuries, will confront the Bears for the first time since defeating them in last year's grand final 28-22.
