The Sharks secured a vital 30-14 victory against the Sea Eagles at 4 Pines Park, thanks in part to key interventions from second-rower Billy Burns.

Leading 14-0 at half-time, the Sharks faced a resurgence from Manly, particularly through centre Tolu Koula, who scored two tries to level the match in the final 15 minutes.

Playing in place of the injured Teig Wilton, Burns proved crucial in shifting momentum back to the Sharks.

The game's first try came in the 12th minute when Briton Nikora executed a sprinting line break.

His move set up the opportunity for Hynes, who cleverly chipped the ball into open space.

Winger Mulitalo capitalized on this, winning the race to score next to the posts.

In the 17th minute, the Sharks extended their lead when prop Addin Fonua-Blake charged through a gap following a pass from Hynes, marking his third try of the season.

Hynes added to the scoreboard with a penalty goal just before half-time after winger Sam Stonestreet was hit high while attempting to score.

With a strong defensive effort and significant contributions from key players, the Sharks overcame the Sea Eagles' challenge to clinch the win.
