Riley Jones has officially signed with the Sharks as a versatile utility player, joining their full-time NRL training squad until the end of 2026.
He made the transition from the Knights shortly before the June 30 transfer deadline.
The Gosford native progressed through Newcastle's pathway system, making his NRL debut in Round 27, 2023, against the Dragons.
This season, Jones has showcased his versatility by playing various positions, including centre, fullback, and wing, while also scoring seven tries in 13 games for the Knights' NSW Cup team.
At 23 years old, Jones is excited to gain more first-grade experience under coach Craig Fitzgibbon.
