In a disappointing defeat for the Wests Tigers Jersey Flegg Cup team, they were unable to overcome the Cronulla Sharks, losing 34-10 at Lidcombe Oval.
The Sharks got off to a strong start, with winger Kristian Dixon scoring and converting to give them an early 6-0 lead.
Te Wehi Waitere extended the Sharks' lead shortly after with a try of his own.
However, the Tigers fought back, with powerful prop Herman Tofaeono scoring their first try of the match just two minutes after coming off the interchange bench.
At half-time, the score stood at 12-6 in favor of the Sharks.
However, the floodgates opened in the second half, with Waitere and Dixon both securing their second tries of the day.
Heath Mason also made an impact, scoring his third try at the Jersey Flegg Cup level since moving up from Wests SG Ball.
Ultimately, the Tigers were unable to overcome the Sharks' dominance and suffered a significant defeat.
