Sharks' season fin: Hanisi's ACL leaves fans blue

NRLW Medical Update - Filomina Hanisi

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Sharks prop Filomina Hanisi will miss the rest of the NRLW season due to a ruptured ACL.

The injury occurred early in the second half of the Round 1 match against the Eels, shortly after she scored her first career try.

Hanisi, 24, will need surgery to repair her knee.

Her absence creates an opportunity for another player on the bench for the upcoming match against the Raiders in Canberra.

In addition, marquee recruit Tyla King is hoping to return from a Grade 2 calf injury by Round 4.
