Liam Ison, a fleet-footed fullback, has joined the Sharks on an NRL development deal after making a name for himself at the Panthers.

The 19-year-old speedster has wasted no time in settling into his new surroundings and has been training hard with the first group since early November.

Ison's talent was evident in his junior days at Penrith, where he helped the club secure the under-21s Jersey Flegg premiership in 2022.

He made his senior football debut in the NSW Cup in June, impressing with 138 metres gained as a winger.

With the senior Sharks players back in action, Ison is eager to soak up as much knowledge as possible and capitalize on the new opportunities that come his way.

The highly rated youngster is poised for a bright future in Rugby League.
