Sharks Name Home Ground Ocean Projects Stadium

The Cronulla Sharks have officially announced a new naming rights partner for their home ground, which will now be known as Ocean Projects Stadium.

Last season, the Sharks didn't have a naming rights sponsor for their venue in Cronulla, simply referring to it as Sharks Stadium during NRL matches.

This change comes as ongoing development work continues in the area, which has led to a reduction in the stadium's capacity for another consecutive year. This development is expected to extend through to 2026.

Ocean Protect, the newly announced partner, has been operational for over twenty years and is focused on preventing stormwater pollution from impacting Australia's oceans and waterways.

The partnership is set for a duration of three years, guaranteeing the stadium's new name will remain in place at least until the end of 2028.

"It's a significant day as we join forces with Ocean Protect, emphasising the commitment to collaborating with impactful and innovative organisations," stated Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta in his announcement of the partnership.

"the stadium is surrounded by iconic waterways, so we feel strongly about Ocean Protect's incredible work to ensure the beaches, bays and rivers are kept clean for all to enjoy."
