The Sea Eagles were left in shambles as they were utterly dominated by the Sharks, their first defeat of the season a painful reality check.

On a gloomy afternoon at 4 Pines Park, the Sea Eagles could do little to stop the Sharks from running riot, with a final score of 40-6.

The Sharks wasted no time in establishing their dominance, with five-eighth Callum Grantham scoring a scintillating try in the seventh minute, leaving the Sea Eagles in disarray.

Momentum stayed firmly in the Sharks' favor as halfback Johnathan Mansour added insult to injury with another try just five minutes later, leaving the Sea Eagles reeling.

It was a relentless onslaught as the Sharks continued to pile on the points, breaking out of a scrum for fullback Oliver Lester to extend their lead to 18-0.

However, the Sea Eagles managed to salvage some pride with a try from forward Dylan Simmons, but it was not enough to quell the Sharks' dominance.

The second half saw the Sharks maintain their stranglehold, with Grantham scoring his second try and Thomas Dellow diving over for another.

In the end, the Sea Eagles were no match for the Sharks, who proved their superiority on the day.
