The Sharks celebrated the remarkable achievement of Tiana Penitani Gray, Emma Verran, and Ellie Johnston, who played pivotal roles in New South Wales' historic 26-6 victory over Queensland in the women's State of Origin series.

Held at Sydney's Allianz Stadium during heavy rain, the match saw the Blues dominate, clinching the series and becoming the first NSW team to secure a three-match women's Origin series win.

Penitani Gray and Verran, part of the team that narrowly lost last year's series after a strong first match, found this victory particularly sweet.

Johnston, making her debut in this year's series, continues her unbeaten streak at the Origin level after scoring a try in the opening game.

As the captain of the Cronulla NRLW team, Penitani Gray excelled in her new five-eighth position, contributing significantly by setting up a try and accumulating over 100 metres in the challenging conditions.

The historical win marks a significant milestone for both the players and women's rugby league in NSW.
