Sharks Lose Star Player for Season

The Cronulla Sharks have encountered a significant setback in their 2025 season as they prepare for a finals run.

According to David Riccio of The Daily Telegraph, star centre Jesse Ramien will miss the remainder of the regular season due to a severe thumb injury.

Ramien sustained the injury during their match against the St George Illawarra Dragons and will now face an extended recovery period.

The 28-year-old is expected to be sidelined for the next four to six weeks, which effectively rules him out for the finals if the Sharks qualify.

In his absence, Mawene Hiroti is anticipated to step in, having delivered strong performances in the NSW Cup lately.
