The Sharks have faced a setback with centre Jesse Ramien being ruled out for the rest of the home and away season.
Ramien, who has played 20 of 21 games this season, suffered a broken thumb during the Sharks' loss to the Dragons last Saturday. His recovery is expected to take four to six weeks.
Experienced Mawene Hiroti, who has been performing well in the NSW Cup recently, will fill Ramien's spot in the Sharks lineup for the upcoming match against the Gold Coast on Saturday.
In other injury updates, KL Iro is close to returning to play after missing time since round 14 due to a pectoral injury. There were hopes that Iro would be available in time for the NRL Finals series.
