The mighty Cronulla Sharks have continued their undefeated journey through the NRLW season by grinding down the Gold Coast Titans in a hard-fought battle on Saturday afternoon.
The Titans came out strong, but once the Sharks took control of the contest in the first half, it was game over.
In scorching conditions at Cbus Super Stadium, the Sharks managed to score four tries to the Titans' one, securing a convincing 22-6 victory.
It was a defensive masterclass from both teams, but Cronulla really stamped their authority by defeating last year's runners-up.
With this win, the Sharks have now notched up six consecutive victories this season, in an impressive eight-game winning streak that dates back to last year.
This streak is the second-best in NRLW history, just behind the Newcastle Knights' incredible 11-game winning streak from 2023 to 2024.
Despite the Titans dominating the early exchanges, it was Cronulla's Tiana Penitani who opened the scoring with a 90-meter sprint in just two plays.
The Sharks have shown that they are serious contenders for the NRLW title, and with their current form, they are a force to be reckoned with in the competition.
