In a dazzling display of skill and precision, the Cronulla Sharks dominated the North Queensland Cowboys in round 7 of the NRL 2024 season.

Sharks captain Nicho Hynes was the hero of the day, showcasing his talent and putting his name in the hat for the coveted NSW five-eighth position.

With a scoreline of 42-6 in their favor, the Sharks reclaimed their position at the top of the ladder, despite briefly losing it to other formidable teams earlier in the weekend.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, were left reeling from the beating they received, with legendary five-eighth Brad Fittler describing their performance as nothing short of "embarrassing."

Hynes was the star of the show, orchestrating plays and setting up three tries with his impeccable kicking and passing skills, much to the delight of the passionate home crowd at PointsBet Stadium.

The Sharks' execution was near flawless, making only two errors throughout the game and securing two tries each from Braydon Trindall and Ronaldo Mulitalo.

As speculation mounts about Hynes potentially filling the crucial five-eighth role for NSW under the guidance of coach Michael Maguire, one thing is certain - his performance on the field has certainly made a strong case for himself.

With the Sharks riding high on their victory, the future looks bright for this talented team as they continue to make waves in the NRL arena.
