The Cronulla Sharks are set to face the Sydney Roosters in their only NRLW pre-season trial at Sharks Stadium on Sunday.

This match revives their grand final rivalry following a narrow 32-28 defeat in the 2024 decider.

Kick-off is scheduled for 1.30pm, with the Sharks' Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership squad competing against the Central Coast Roosters in a preliminary trial at 11am.

Although the final team won't be announced until 24 hours prior to the match, the Sharks are likely to showcase several exciting new recruits.

Among those expected to feature are multi-code New Zealand international Tyla King, prop Jacinta Carter, young playmaker Chantay Kiria-Ratu, and Indigenous All Stars forward Tommaya Kelly-Sines.

This trial offers a crucial opportunity for Sharks coach Tony Herman to experiment with new combinations, particularly as the pivotal No.7 jersey is available following halfback Tayla Preston's transfer to the Bulldogs.

King is one of the contenders for this key position, alongside Georgia Hannaway, who was Cronulla's starting five-eighth last season, and Kiria-Ratu.
