Since stepping in as halfback in Round 6, rookie Hugo Savala has been making a significant impact on the Roosters, helping them achieve three wins in their last four matches.
According to nrl.com.au, Savala, a product of the Sydney Roosters junior academy, stands at an impressive 194cm and has always preferred playing halfback, despite his larger frame.
His performance during Magic Round was particularly noteworthy; after senior halves partner Sandon Smith left the game due to a head knock just seven minutes in, Savala rose to the occasion.
He produced a key try assist and achieved 401 kick metres, contributing significantly to the team's 36-26 victory against the Dolphins.
