Anthony Seibold's stint with the Sea Eagles is unlikely to be remembered fondly by Manly supporters, especially following new details about his rocky relationship with Jake Trbojevic, the club's heart and soul.
After just a handful of games, Seibold was dismissed when Manly lost their opening three encounters at Brookvale in the 2026 season.
Trbojevic reportedly had a troubled relationship with Seibold, with Triple M's Ben Dobbin suggesting that poor communication contributed to the coach's downfall.
"Jake Trbojevic- I'm going to name him - he's been treated poorly. He's a club leader," Dobbin stated on Triple M's Sunday Sin Bin.
"Jake Trbojevic is a leader and that club is void of leadership. Jake and Tom are the two leaders."
Dobbin also noted parallels between Seibold's time at Manly and his previous role at the Broncos, where he controversially moved veteran skipper Darius Boyd from fullback to center.
This decision resulted in Seibold losing the locker room and ultimately led to his firing from the Broncos.
In what can only be termed a failure in communication, Dobbin shared that Trbojevic expressed concerns regarding Seibold's game strategies.
"Jake Trbojevic has fronted Seibold, not agreed with the game plan, and said it's absolutely been over played," Dobbin remarked.
