Seibold's Seat: Safe, but the pressure's a-game

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

Manly Sea Eagles head coach Anthony Seibold is currently deemed "safe… for now," but there's no assurance that he will complete his contract due to increasing pressure.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, the team's disappointing recent performance has raised questions about his future.

However, they remain in the mix for a playoff position, sitting just two points behind the eighth-placed Sydney Roosters with a 6-8 record after 14 games, and are yet to utilize two byes.

Despite their struggles, the Sea Eagles have a favorable points differential, making them the only team in the bottom ten with a positive for and against score, which could be crucial as the season progresses amid the close standings.

Nevertheless, this may not be enough to secure Seibold's position, as News Corp indicates that while he is currently safe, there are no long-term guarantees.

The club's management has reportedly recognized assistant coach Michael Ennis as a potential successor to Seibold.
