Over the past year, the Manly Sea Eagles have attracted significant media attention due to major player departures and ongoing speculation about head coach Anthony Seibold's future.

Despite facing criticism throughout the 2025 season, the players are maintaining their composure amidst the pressure.

Aaron Schoupp, a key edge player for the Sea Eagles, asserts that the team's unity remains intact despite the external criticisms surrounding the club.

"We've got a pretty tight squad, and that outside noise doesn't really affect the boys too much. You just sort of focus on your job and role."

He recognizes that competing for a prominent club like Manly comes with heightened expectations, which he embraces wholeheartedly.

"Obviously coming from a big foundation club there's a bit of an expectation, so there's always going to be that noise around," he said.
