The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles concluded their Jersey Flegg Cup campaign with a disappointing 28-6 defeat against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Belmore Sports Ground on Friday night.

According to a report on the Sea Eagles' official website, seaeagles.com.au, the headline reads "Sea Eagles go down to Bulldogs in Jersey Flegg." The match was evenly poised at 6-all during half-time, but the Bulldogs capitalized on their opportunities in the second half, scoring four tries to secure the victory.

Unfortunately for Manly, injuries depleted their squad, leaving them with only two players on the bench.

In the 18th minute, hooker Daniel O'Donnell managed to score the Sea Eagles' only try of the match.

O'Donnell demonstrated his agility and determination as he dived on a well-placed grubber kick from half-back Harradyn Wilson.

The try was successfully converted, resulting in Manly's six points on the scoreboard.

However, this lone effort was not enough to turn the tide in their favor.

Despite their valiant efforts throughout the season, Manly finished with nine wins from 22 games, falling short of qualifying for the finals.

It is undoubtedly a disappointing outcome for the Sea Eagles, who will no doubt be reflecting on their season and identifying areas for improvement.

The loss to the Bulldogs serves as a reminder of the challenges they faced and the need to regroup and come back stronger in future competitions.

In rugby league terminology, the Sea Eagles were unable to match the Bulldogs' second-half performance, conceding four tries and failing to add to their own tally.

The result ultimately sealed their fate, as injuries further hindered their chances on the night.

Nonetheless, the Sea Eagles should be commended for their efforts throughout the season and will undoubtedly be motivated to bounce back in their future campaigns.
