The Sea Eagles and sports technology innovator eo have teamed up to launch a game-changing concussion treatment that's set to make waves in the world of contact sports.

PolarCap® by eo is set to revolutionize the way athletes recover from concussions, with its unique cooling technology aimed at reducing acute symptoms and minimizing the risk of long-term absence.

This breakthrough device, which has been given the green light by the TGA, has been put to the test with the Sea Eagles over an 18-month trial period, showing promising results.

A star-studded panel of sports legends, including NRLW player Millie Elliot, NRL great Ian Roberts, Rugby Union's Michael Lipman, footballer Warren Spink, AFL player Shaun Smith, and Manly centre Reuben Garrick, shared their own experiences with concussions at the launch event.

The device's effectiveness has been backed up by a clinical study conducted by Lund University in partnership with the Swedish Hockey League, showing significant positive effects on concussed professional athletes.

By reducing the brain's metabolic demand immediately after injury, PolarCap® aims to speed up recovery and reduce the risk of prolonged symptoms.

PolarCap® by eo is a portable cooling system that delivers controlled cold fluid through a headcap, helping to lower the elevated brain temperature of a concussed athlete.

This non-invasive treatment is best administered as soon as possible after injury or diagnosis, with athletes ideally receiving treatment within 15 minutes for at least 45 minutes to reap the full benefits.

Overall, this breakthrough concussion treatment looks set to change the game for athletes across all contact sports, ensuring a safer and speedier recovery process for those facing head injuries on the field.
