Twelve years ago today, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles achieved a remarkable feat by winning the 2011 Telstra Premiership.

Under the guidance of coach Des Hasler and led by captain Jamie Lyon, the Sea Eagles emerged victorious with a convincing 24-10 victory over the NZ Warriors at ANZ Stadium.

The grand final clash attracted a massive crowd of 81,988 passionate fans.

This triumph marked the second premiership in just three years for several key players, including Brett Stewart, Michael Robertson, Jamie Lyon, Steve Matai, Matt Ballin, Brent Kite, Anthony Watmough, and Glenn Stewart.

Additionally, it was also the second premiership for coach Des Hasler, who had previously tasted success in 2008.

The 2011 premiership win added to Manly's rich history, making it their eighth title overall.

The club had previously experienced grand final success in 1972, 1973, 1976, 1978, 1987, 1996, and 2008.

This victory solidified their status as one of the most successful teams in Rugby League history.

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles fielded a formidable lineup in the 2011 grand final, featuring standout players such as Brett Stewart, Michael Robertson, Jamie Lyon, Steve Matai, Will Hopoate, Kieran Foran, Daly Cherry-Evans, and Glenn Stewart.

Coach Des Hasler's astute guidance and the team's exceptional performances on the field were instrumental in securing the much-coveted title.

On the opposing side, the NZ Warriors, coached by Ivan Cleary, fielded a strong team comprising Kevin Locke, Bill Tupou, Lewis Brown, Krisnan Inu, Manu Vatuvei, James Maloney, Shaun Johnson, and Simon Mannering as captain.

Despite their best efforts, they were unable to overcome the dominance of the Sea Eagles on that memorable day.

The 2011 grand final will forever be etched in the annals of Rugby League history as a demonstration of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' skill, determination, and relentless pursuit of victory.

It was a day that the Sea Eagles and their fans will cherish for years to come.
