The Sea Eagles have really hit their stride, clinching a narrow 32-28 victory over the New Zealand Warriors in the second round of the Jersey Flegg Cup.

In a match that had fans on the edge of their seats, the Warriors struck first with a powerful run down the left edge by Sefanaia Cowley-Lupo, giving them an early 4-0 advantage.

But the Sea Eagles weren't about to let their opponents have all the glory.

Half-back Joey Walsh stepped up in the 11th minute, starting a sensational play that saw fullback Jake Smith break free and set up Walsh for a try, leveling the score at 4-all.

From then on, Manly took flight, scoring their second try just three minutes later.

Centre Oliver Lawry's determined run down the right side created the opportunity for Zachary Karam to cross the try line, putting the Sea Eagles in front with an 8-4 lead.

Walsh wasn't finished yet, showing his class once again in the 19th minute with a clever dummy pass that bamboozled the defence as he darted through to score next to the posts, extending Manly's lead to 14-4.

The Sea Eagles continued to push forward, never letting up on the pressure.

With each player giving it their all, they held off the Warriors to secure their second consecutive win in the Jersey Flegg Cup.
