The Manly Sea Eagles emerged victorious against the Parramatta Eels with a score of 26-12 in Round 4 of the NRL Telstra Premiership at 4 Pines Park.

The game was played before a full house, adding to the excitement of the match.

Unfortunately, the Sea Eagles faced a setback as Tom Trbojevic sustained a knee injury and had to leave the game in the first half, not returning to play.

The extent of his injury will be confirmed after scans on Monday, with a suspected MCL knee injury.

The Sea Eagles took an early lead with a well-executed play on the right edge, involving Daly Cherry-Evans, Trbojevic, and Reuben Garrick setting up Jason Saab for a try.

Saab outpaced Eels fullback Isaiah Iongi, running down the touchline to score the first try of the match and ignite the crowd.

The home team continued their dominance by scoring their second try in the 16th minute after putting pressure on the Eels in their own half.

Despite the absence of Trbojevic, the Sea Eagles maintained their momentum and managed to control the game, showcasing their determination and skill on the field.

Head coach Des Hasler praised the team's performance, stating, "I thought we showed a lot of character and courage tonight.

We had some guys out which meant there were a few positional changes but the players all handled it really well."

The victory against the Eels highlighted the depth and resilience of the Manly Sea Eagles squad, with players stepping up in the absence of key players like Trbojevic.

The team's effort and unity were evident throughout the game, leading to a well-deserved win.

The Sea Eagles will look to build on this success in the upcoming matches, maintaining their focus and determination to secure more victories in the NRL Telstra Premiership.
