In a historic clash on American soil, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles soared to a triumphant 36-24 victory over South Sydney, cementing their status as the 'Pride of Vegas'.

Allegiant Stadium, the magnificent battleground that recently hosted the illustrious Super Bowl, set the stage ablaze for the Telstra Premiership season opener.

As the only team to remain in Las Vegas throughout the trip, the Sea Eagles absorbed the vibrant energy of the city, winning over a legion of fans along the way.

Their six tries to South Sydney's five showcased their unwavering determination, as they seized a narrow 12-10 lead at halftime.

The match also marked the Club debuts of Jaxson Paulo, Luke Brooks, and Nathan Brown for the Sea Eagles, infusing the team with fresh talent and unfathomable potential.

Although South Sydney delivered the first blow with a converted try, courtesy of Richard Kennar, Manly's relentless spirit and resilience drove their counterattacks.

In a heart-stopping moment, Jason Saab was inches away from crossing the tryline, only to be thwarted by a superb ankle tap from Lachlan Ilias, Souths' agile half-back.
