The Sea Eagles are determined to unlock Luke Brooks' full potential as he seeks to break his finals drought as a maligned halfback.
Coach Anthony Seibold expressed confidence in his team's ability to "get the best" out of Brooks following his decision to leave the Wests Tigers after 11 seasons without finals football.
The 28-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Sea Eagles after a deadline set by his former club played a crucial role in his departure after 205 matches for the Tigers.
Brooks' career with the Tigers was tumultuous, marked by a revolving door of coaches and halves partners that made it challenging for him to settle in.
Despite this, there were moments of brilliance, including being named Dally M halfback of the year in 2018 and a memorable 200th NRL game.
Seibold stated, "We feel as though we can get the best out of him.
We just want him to come and enjoy his footy again." He emphasized the tough period Brooks had endured and the potential he had shown before his injury.
