Sea Eagles Confirm Long-Term Signing of Hetherington

The Manly Sea Eagles have officially announced the long-anticipated signing of Kobe Hetherington to a long-term contract.

Previously with the Broncos, Hetherington, who played in the 2025 decider despite an injury, will now be part of the Sea Eagles for the next four years, extending his stay at the Northern Beaches until at least the end of 2029.

With this agreement, Hetherington becomes one of the most contracted players in the club, and at 26 years old, he's seen as a crucial element in the team's future, particularly as Anthony Seibold aims to improve performance in 2026.

In 2025, Hetherington participated in all 27 games for the Broncos, bringing his career total to 105 games. Having shifted from his early role as a dummy half, he has established himself as a formidable option in the middle third.

Seibold, who has previously coached Hetherington, expressed confidence in the player's potential contributions to the Sea Eagles. "Kobe is a player I know well having coached him previously," he stated in an official club announcement. "He's a tough country-bred kid who has played over 100 NRL games and has won a premiership."
