Samoa Appoints New Assistant Coach for Pacific Championships
Ryan Hinchcliffe, currently an assistant coach with the Melbourne Storm, is set to advance his coaching career by joining Samoa's staff for the 2025 Pacific Championships.
According to reports from zerotackle.com, Hinchcliffe, a former player in the NRL and English Super League, has built his coaching experience at the Storm since retiring from professional play.
He started as a development coach and has progressed to a role on the NRL coaching staff, where he benefits from the mentorship of veteran coach Craig Bellamy.
In this new position, Hinchcliffe will collaborate with head coach Ben Gardiner as Samoa prepares to compete in the Pacific Championships, stepping in for Australia.
This change means that the Kangaroos will take Samoa's spot in a tour of England during the off-season, as the Rugby League Ashes make a comeback.
