In a thrilling elimination final on Saturday night, the Roosters emerged victorious with a 13-12 win over the Sharks, thanks to a late field goal by Sam Walker.

Despite facing numerous challenges throughout the match, including the sin-binning of captain James Tedesco and injuries to key players Joseph Manu and Joseph-Aukuso Suaali'i, the Roosters managed to charge down two field goals in the dying minutes.

Walker, who was playing through an ankle injury, displayed great resilience and composure to secure the win with a clutch drop goal.

This victory marked the Roosters' sixth consecutive win, propelling them into a highly anticipated clash with the Storm in Melbourne next week.

Unfortunately for the Sharks, this loss eliminates them from the 2023 Finals Series.

The Roosters initially faced setbacks when they conceded six points while Tedesco was off the field and other key backline members were injured.

However, they rallied back with a try from Siua Wong, converted by Billy Smith, to level the scores at 12-12 with 10 minutes remaining.
