Salford Red Devils fan group, The 1873, has organized a "peaceful and lawful protest" set to take place before their Super League match against Wakefield Trinity this Sunday.
According to reports from skysports.com, the protest will commence from the Salford City Roosters Rugby Club and will conclude at the Salford Community Stadium, as it is a home game.
The demonstration aims to advocate for "greater communication, transparency, and accountability from the club's ownership."
Participants are encouraged to wear club colors and bring banners and flags to display "unity and pride."
A spokesperson for The 1873 stated: "This protest is about respect - respect for the club's history, its supporters, and its community."
They further emphasized, "We are asking the ownership to engage meaningfully and transparently with the people who stand by this club week in and week out."
