Departed Penrith Panthers forward John Sagaga has secured a new contract that marks both a transition to a new club and his departure from the NRL competition.
He was among 13 players released by the Panthers at the conclusion of the 2025 NRL season, joining other notable players like Daine Laurie and Harrison Hassett. Sagaga is set to move to the overseas Super League competition.
Although Sagaga did not make an appearance in the NRL, he displayed considerable potential in the NSW Cup, where he participated in 11 matches within the reserve-grade framework.
Predominantly playing in the front row, he made five appearances during the 2025 season.
