Australian Rugby League has lost one of its own as former Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers utility player, Peter Langmack, has passed away at the age of 73 after a tough battle with dementia.

Peter, brother of fellow footy star Paul Langmack, made his mark on the field with 36 appearances for the Eels and 57 for the Panthers between 1971 and 1978.

A true jack-of-all-trades, he showcased his skills in the centres, at five-eighth, and at lock, even breaking a Panthers club record by scoring five tries in a single game against the mighty St George Dragons in 1974.

Hailing from the Gold Coast, Queensland in his later years, Peter's legacy lives on in the hearts of fans and fellow players.

The Penrith Panthers paid tribute to their former warrior, Panther No.

95, sending their condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Peter Langmack, a true legend of the game.
