We all recognize that rugby league players must maintain their fitness to compete effectively. However, fitness also encompasses being free from injury.
The sport is making efforts to reduce concussions by targeting high shots, but what about injuries to the body below the neck? Do these injuries not hold significance?
Sadly, I am aware of numerous former players in their thirties and forties who are facing the need for interventions such as hip or shoulder replacements and neck surgeries, among other medical issues.
