Paul Rowley's Salford Red Devils are gearing up to face off against the Leigh Leopards in what is sure to be a clash of the titans on Friday September 27 at 8pm.
Rowley, a true rugby league enthusiast, believes that both clubs can be seen as the 'underdogs' in the upcoming Super League play-offs.
Fans can catch all the action, including the highly-anticipated Grand Final on October 12, live on Sky Sports.
Rowley, a Leigh native, has a special connection to this match as he not only hails from the town but also played for and coached the local club.
Leigh managed to secure a spot in the top six after an impressive string of victories, setting up a showdown with Rowley's current squad of over-achievers, who finished in fourth place.
"It's a clash of two underdog teams who have defied the odds to reach this point.
While I'm proud of both clubs, I would have preferred to face Leigh in the Grand Final," admitted Rowley.
Salford had already secured their spot in the play-offs before the end of the regular season, allowing them to rest key players such as Marc Sneyd and Nene Macdonald in their recent loss to Wigan.
This strategic move ensures that the Red Devils will be firing on all cylinders come game time against Leigh.
